History Of Pearl
Pearls have a longer history than almost anything we wear. They were the first gem — gathered before the tools existed to cut stone, worn before the vocabulary existed to describe beauty. For centuries they meant something that could not quite be named: composure, perhaps. A kind of readiness.
How It Began
We started Rabbit Forest because that meaning had been mislaid. The category had drifted — toward occasion, toward ceremony, toward the idea that a pearl belonged in a box until a particular day arrived. We disagreed. A pearl worn once a year is a pearl wasted.
Our Spirit
The house was built on a different premise. That a piece of real quality — real metal, real nacre, real construction — belongs in daily life. That it earns its value not by being saved, but by being reached for.
What We Make
Pearl jewellery in 18-carat gold vermeil, 14-carat and 18-carat solid gold, and sterling silver. Freshwater pearls, Akoya pearls, and baroque pearls — each chosen for what it does, not for how it sounds. Seven collections, numbered in order of their making. A considered archive.
