A portion of every sale is directed to a small number of environmental and social initiatives chosen by the team. We do not describe buying a piece as an environmental act. The piece is the piece. The contribution is separate.

We work with freshwater pearls sourced from freshwater pearl farms, and Akoya pearls from Akoya oyster farms in Japan and China. We do not use pearls from sources we cannot name.
Our gold vermeil pieces use a base of 925 sterling silver with a minimum 2.5 micron layer of 18-carat gold. Our solid gold pieces are 14-carat or 18-carat. We do not use base metal — brass, zinc alloy, or similar — in any Rabbit Forest piece.
We describe every material on every product page by its accurate name. If it is vermeil, it says vermeil. This is the most basic form of material honesty, and it is not universal in this category.

We produce in small, considered runs. Small runs allow us to examine every piece, refine based on real wear, and avoid the accumulation of stock we do not believe in. A design may sell out. We accept that.
We do not produce seasonal collections that require markdown to clear. The range evolves when the work is ready, not on a calendar.

Outer packaging is kraft brown or off-white corrugate. Internal filler is recycled tissue paper. No polystyrene, no single-use plastic, no branded material that serves no function.
The signature velvet red gift box is designed to be kept. It is not single-use packaging.

Every piece carries its own sustainability snapshot materials, workshops, and impact.
